Radiatorbed

Cats like to lay soft and warm. In the stores you can buy catbeds that you hang on the radiator I had some requests about making a description of how you can make one yourself. It's really quite easy.

Sandy and Eliza love this bed. Since the are social cats, they want the bed to hang in a room where we spend much time, so now it is in the office were the computer is. Demonstrating the bed in the picture is Eliza.

Materials:
2 angel irons that you put up shelves with, size 30x35cm
2 pieces of wood (one 54x4x2cm and one 50 cm long)
6 wooden screws
1 m steel wire (ståltråd)
2 S-hooks (s-krok)
1 m chain (kedja)
70 cm thick fabric (if you want a thin fabric, line it)
15 cm velcro closing

Attach the wood to the angels according to the picture. Thread the wire through the loops at the top of the angles. The wire is there to fold the fabric flap over(calm...we'll get  to that later).

Make a bag out of the fabric that is 63 cm wide and 53/63 cm long(total 116 cm) Attach the velcro to the flap and the corresponding place on the bag. Think about that you might have to pull the bag together to make if fit properly.

Then all you've got to do is to pull the bag over the shelf, fold the flap over the wire and attach it to the backside. Depending on the type of your radiator, you need to hook the chains in different ways. If you have a heavy cat, check that the radiator can take the extra weight.

Good Luck!!
