Pawprints

Little kittens have qute little paws och big cats have large impressive ones. I wanted to remiember my kittens paws, so I made prints of them in plaster. This is probably a suitable present for the breeder.

To make a form a cut down a plastic cup to a height of 3-4 cm. Then I filled(halfway) the cup with thick plaster and placed pastic sheeting loosly om top. It's important that the plastic is isn't stuck on the edges of the cup and is laying flat on the plaster. Then ypu borrow a paw. You will get the best result if you can get kitty to stand in the plaster, but that isn't always easy. After you get a print that you are happy with, let the plaster harden. Next step is to get the plaster out of the cup, paint it and make some kind of hanging device on the backside. Write the name and age of the cat on the back. Another idea is to glue sand to tha surface after it has hardened, then it will look like a footprint on a beach.
