Tunnel

Cats likes to hide and to lay in a warm, dark and cozy place. This is a description of how to make a soft tunnel for your cat. You need about 60 cm fabric (150 cm wide) and 60 cm of quilting cotton.

First you measure your cat, the tunnel in supposed to be long enough to hide the entire cat when it has crawled inside.  Cut a piece of fabric that is twice the length of the tunnel and twice the height of your cat. Then you cut the cotton to the same width an half the length of the fabric.

Fold and sew together the long sides of the fabric, and then the cotton.

Pull the cotton-tunnel over the fabric one. Then fold the fabric and pull it over the cotton, so that it will cover both sides.

Fold in the edges of the fabric and sew a seam around the opening of the tunnel. It's OK it the cotton doesn't really fit, it will just make it easier for the cat to crawl into the tunnel.

Good Luck !!!

Carina made a really smart version of the tunnel with metal rings sewn into each end of the tunnel, that made it much easier for Musse to crawl into the tunnel. Visit Carina and Musse at their homepage.
