Cat cave no two

My second attempt to make a cave was much better. I made it in fleece, that is somewhat stretchable that probably made it easier. Before the next cat show that we will attend I will make one in the same fabric as the show curtain.

I made this cave a lot smaller than the last one. The bottom is 25 x 30 cm. I used about 1 meter of foam rubber that was 80 wide and 1 m fabric - 140 cm wide. All the pieces should be cut out once in foam rubber and twice in fabric.

First sew together the edges around what will be the opening of the cave. Place the fabric through the opening and over both sides of the corresponding foam rubber piece. The seam is supposed to to be on the inside, against the foam rubber. Pin both of the long fabric pieces to the fabric covering the side with the opening. Also pin both the fabric pieces for the other side of the cave to the long pieces. Sew both seams. Place the foam rubber pieces inside the corresponding fabric pieces, pin both the bottom fabric pieces to the sides of the cave. Make sure that you have the foam rubber in between and the seams you just sewn are on the outside of the cave. Sew the bottom into place, and turn the cave inside out through the opening.

Good Luck!!
