Princess quilt

While waiting for Sandy and Eliza, I made this quilt. Then I sent the quilt to their breeder. When I took them home with me, they had the quilt in their carrier, and with it - all the familiar smells from home. I don't know if cats work this way, but I know that every time something frightened them during the first few days - they ran to the quilt which I had under the bed.

To make this quilt you need a piece of fabric that is 60 x 120 cm and some   quilt 60 x 60 cm.

Fold the fabric double. Sew together two of the sides. Turn the fabric bag inside out. Fill it with the quilting. Fold in the edges of the fabric on the open side, and sew a thin seam. About the pattern, I made a seam a bit inside the edges and a crown in the middle. The reason for the pattern(beside decoration) is to keep the quilt in place. Put pins where you want the pattern, be sure to have a pin at every turn. Sew the pattern.

You're done !!

You can easily change the measurements - to custom make it for your pet carrier.
