Sandy and her sister Eliza were my first two ragdolls, born in 1998. I
used to take both of them to cat shows; Eliza loved it and Sandy didn't.
Sandy had the bluest eyes I have ever seen in a cat. Sandy used my fingers as her pacifier, sucking on them for comfort. At 16 years old, she became incurably sick. She left this world in my arms, sucking my fingertips. I started her portrait more than a year ago, but it took me quite a while to finish. Now it is finally hanging with the others, and I still have two more to do as I'm painting portraits of all cats that I have had. |
